My name is Anshuman Sharma. I'm a designer working across interface, product, and industrial design, with a B.A. in Design from the University of California, Los Angeles. My work sits at the intersection of physical and digital making — I move between CAD, 3D printing, and fabrication on one side and interface design and prototyping on the other, and I'm most interested in the problems that need both.

I currently serve in the United States Air Force as a KC-46 Crew Chief with the 349th Air Mobility Wing where I work with the Phoenix Spark Tech & Innovation Lab prototyping fast, low-cost solutions to expensive aircraft sustainment problems alongside the active-duty maintainers who surface them. I researched under Professor Rebeca Méndez at the UCLA Counterforce Lab, designing a biophilic playground that tied play infrastructure into downtown Los Angeles' ecosystem and presenting geospatial findings as part of Los Angeles County's sustainability initiative.

My design practice has been shaped by early-stage product work. At LivesToTell I designed accessible voice interfaces for senior storytellers, prioritizing low-vision and low-dexterity interaction patterns, and owned prototyping for the full product experience through pre-launch. At Hemut, a Y Combinator company, I redesigned the business-operations accounting flow around habit-loop and choice-architecture principles and built the trucking-operations interface and prototypes used in a $30M institutional round. At Proshort I led a UX overhaul that grew monthly landing-page visits 184% and designed the dashboard for VideoZen, an AI video creation platform. I also served as Vice President of YUVA at UCLA.
